Narrow access, big reach
Our elevated work platform is run by licensed operators. It needs as little as 860 mm of side access, reaches up to 20 metres and extends 9.5 metres sideways, so we can work safely on big trees in tight backyards.
We use Stihl chainsaws and Bandit wood chippers.

Before we lop or remove a tree on the northside
Council approval in Brisbane
Often you don't need a permit, but some trees are protected under Brisbane City Council's Natural Assets Local Law. Permit applications are free, and Council says it will contact you within 20 business days. You generally don't need one to prune no more than 20% of a tree's live foliage in 12 months, spread evenly over the crown; to remove a tree whose whole trunk is within 3 m of your house (on blocks up to 4,000 m²); or to maintain garden plants with a trunk under 30 cm across, measured at 1.4 m. Those exemptions don't cover significant landscape trees, so if you're not sure, ask us when you book your quote, or read more about permits.

Trees near power lines
You're generally responsible for keeping trees clear of the service line from the street to your house; Energex looks after trees around the street power lines. Never trim near power lines yourself. If the line has to be disconnected for the work, Energex may charge a fee. If a line comes down, stay well away and call Energex on 13 19 62, or Triple Zero (000).
