Training and supervision

Our team undergoes extensive training in safety and risk management, and we regularly audit how well our safety policy is followed.

Training includes practical demonstration of equipment use, with competent supervision and assessment by qualified and experienced operators. Large or small, each project gets a site assessment for possible risks and hazards.

Under WH&S regulation, all staff must be certified and follow safety protocols.

Qualified, licensed, insured

Qualified and licensed. All staff are qualified and licensed for all aspects of tree work. When a job needs a consulting arborist's report, we bring in a Level 5 arborist.

Licensed operators. Our elevated work platform is run by licensed operators, so big trees in tight backyards are worked on from a secure platform.

On every job

What that looks like on site

Safety conformance is a requirement under WH&S regulation. These are the things we carry, hold and do on every job.

PPE

Hard hat and ear muffs, long pants, steel-capped boots and safety glasses.

Licences

Including chainsaw licences.

First aid

First aid training and kits on site.

Blue or White Card

The general safety induction for construction work.

Risk assessments

A risk assessment for each job, with its control measures.

Warning signs

Signs and hats so everyone on and around the site knows work is under way.

Material safety data sheets

For fuel, oil and other substances, and how to use and store them safely.

Emergency and rescue procedures

Including aerial rescue, and what to do if an accident or emergency arises.
